A kind of architectural playground, George Town is city offering an attractive mix of style, history, and culture.
Reclining Buddha Wat Chaiyamangalaram and Cheong Fatt Tze - The Blue Mansion are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Kapitan Keling Mosque and Colonial Penang Museum. Spend the 27th (Sat) exploring nature at Penang National Park (Taman Negara Pulau Pinang). There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kek Lok Si Temple and take an in-depth tour of Pinang Peranakan Mansion.

Pearl of the Orient
Penang Island blends historical elements with natural exploration. Long a place of trade between Asian kingdoms and European colonial powers, the island's varied history and cultural influences are seen in a range of historical and cultural sites around its main urban centers, from British forts and factories to Chinese shophouses and narrow market streets. Outside of the towns, the island offers palm-lined beaches, sprawling native jungles, and agricultural land, which is known for providing the island with the fresh produce used in its thriving cuisine.
