Kuala Terengganu

Once a small fishing village, Kuala Terengganu is now a developing city where skyscrapers often stand shoulder to shoulder with traditional kampong-style houses.
Step out of Kuala Terengganu to go to Kuala Besut and see Scuba & Snorkeling, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. There's lots more to do: head off the coast to Perhentian Islands, find something for the whole family at Taman Tamadun Islam (Islamic Civilisation Park), make a trip to Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Crystal Mosque.

To find other places to visit, reviews, where to stay, and tourist information, read Kuala Terengganu trip itinerary maker website.

Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 37°C in August, and nighttime lows around 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
