Admire the stoic and friendly Malaysian elephants at Kuala Gandah National Elephant Conservation Centre. An endemic species, the elephants here are orphaned and many will be relocated to suitable habitats once rehabilitated and able to live in the wild. Watch the animals being washed and fed before getting the chance to ride one and swim in the river with them as they bathe. Due to the sanctuary's popularity, advance reservations are recommended. • Highly recommend this place. I have never been so close to the elephants . You can touch trunk , feed them , see how they are bathing. Great experience for whole family and kids . The most important is nothing comparing to zoo . Elephants have large areas to walk and socialize , plus keepers really love elephants and part of their family . Entrance is free but please donate to them as all money goes to save more elephants.
  • Small park but super lovely. Entry is free which is surprising for such a beautiful place. Very well maintained and allows you to get in contact with the elephants and feed them. A restaurant and a convenience store are also there with reasonable prices. Highly recommended as a gateway away from the city.
