Create an itinerary including Malacca Heritage Centre
Wear comfortable shoes and walk up a short but steep hill to Malacca Heritage Centre, a centenarian cultural institution where you can find a large collection of furniture, antiques, and ceramics on display. A great introduction to Malaccan history from the Sultanate until the end of the Colonial era, this heritage center transports visitors back in time and allows them to discover what it was like to live in this area decades ago. Keep in mind that photography is not allowed inside and that entry is by prior arrangement only. • It was an interesting visit. The curator was engaging n knowledgeable with many stories and insights of the baba and nyonya culture. Also they have private dining an opportunity to taste peranakan food in this ambience. Definitely felt like walking n experiencing life in a day of a baba or nyonya 100 years ago
  • Malacca city has very good infrastructure. Wide roads, integrated modes of transportation, both land, sea and air. Health and entertainment facilities are also plentiful, for a relatively small city. But, thanks to tourism, Malacca is growing rapidly. Malacca's main attraction is of course its old city. Not wide, maybe only 1~2km. So it is perfect for exploring on foot. Many historical buildings are close to each other. So a 1 day visit is sufficient, for those of us who have a tight itinerary.
