Create an itinerary including Flora de la Mar Maritime Museum
Stop by Flora de la Mar Maritime Museum for a chance to board a replica of a Portuguese sailing ship and experience a taste of life at sea in the 16th century. Named after the ship it displays, this museum allows visitors to discover the history of sea travel in the region through numerous artworks and maritime artifacts. Pick up an audio guide at the entrance or wander at your own pace, reading the provided information signs. The original version of the ship exhibited here was the largest carrack ever built at the time of its completion. After serving for 9 years--a remarkably long lifetime for a vessel of that period--the ship and its hoard of treasures sank during a storm. Flora de la Mar Maritime Museum is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.

  • Great place to go in the morning or afternoon as it’s indoors and air con (thank goodness for it)… Display models and exhibits are nice but the explanations in English requires a lot more...

  • Great collection of ships and artifact. The ship has 3 levels. You enter on the second level which combines with the 1st floor through a spiral stairs. This part contains most of the attractions. On the 3rd floor is the captains cabin. Out side of the ship under the stairs there is a shop which sells miniature replicas of ships ranging from rm 30 up to thousand. Further down there is an indoor muzium complex. There are ample parking opposite the road. Good place to bring your kids
