  • Check out the temple on Harmony street. Pretty flowers and a nice bonsai tree garden. Small and very old. It is on a nice street to stroll.

  • We were staying on Jalan Tokong (Temple St in English, I guess) and there are a few temples here. This one is the Chinese temple which is a few hundred years old. I don't normally review temples though this one is very nice (ornate, functional, right atmosphere) but found a little altar at the side and discovered something new. There's such a thing as a Tiger God, and its altar is usually hidden or under the usual altar table. I found this very interesting (cute!) so see the pictures.
  • Interesting historic temple built in the 17th century by the Chinese community in Malacca. The historic temple is on the same street as a Tamil Hindu temple and a Malay mosque, showing the long history of religious diversity in Malacca and the harmonious blend of cultures and religions. Chinese Malaysians have been part of Malaysia for centuries and their culture and religious beliefs are reflected here.
