Head to Underwater World Langkawi, one of the largest marine and freshwater aquariums in Southeast Asia. Walk through the 15 m (49 ft) underwater tunnel and see magnificent sea creatures of all shapes and sizes swimming right over your head. Don't miss the penguinarium, either, where another underwater tunnel allows you to view the little critters as they swim. A 200-seat theater shows educational films about animal and plant life and the importance of conservation projects. The aquarium's overall emphasis on ecological education enhances your visit, informing you about the threats facing its inhabitants and constructive efforts to counter them. Underwater World Langkawi reviews
So many sea creatures to see, with informative boards. Typical aquarium. But it could be fun for kids. There is a few types of birds free inside the park.

It’s not a big place however kids will enjoy. Pro - ambiance is nice, kids friendly place. Cons - tickets are expensive and need to do some maintenance to keep the place lively.

This is the first time visiting this place although I have been visiting Langkawi for multiple times. The outlook is very quite and peaceful, the car parking lots are empty. My initial thought it maybe operating time not yet reach. 🤣 Once entering with ticket, the crowds are there, specially young kids with parents. Quite relaxing and peaceful watching the animals and sea creatures behaviour.
We had some time to kill before our flight so decided to visit here. Was easy purchasing tickets on their website which is CHEAPER than the door so strongly advise to do this prior to visiting. Tickets are valid for a year which is good. Don't bother purchasing the extra 6rm pp for the extras wasn't really that interesting. We liked that the tanks were open from the top so we could view the animals from top and in the water. The feeding of the sting rays was great to watch. The staff member doing this was great at answering all our questions about what he was feeding them. There was also a lady training some of the baby fish to eat which was fascinating to watch. You can literally do the whole aquarium in an hour. We've been to many in the world so have alot to compare it too. Good for kids too to keep them busy.
