Visit a living museum and interesting cultural preservation project at Sarawak Cultural Village. Sarawak's history is one of immigration and multiculturalism: ethnically Iban, Chinese, and Malay families--along with many others--have called the region home for centuries. Designed to preserve and show Sarawak's heritage, the village of 150 people still retains its traditional ways of life. Take a tour of the village to see Chinese farmhouses alongside Iban longhouses, and learn to distinguish between cultures in terms of design, spirituality, and traditions. Watch a multicultural dance performance in the village theater while enjoying a cup of strong rice wine known as tuak. enjoyed it so much as it is very educational. The dance performances were very good. Beautiful costumes according to individual tribes. However, Sarawak cultural centre needs to upgrade the centre...

Really enjoyed our visit. Very interesting to see traditional buildings and food production techniques. Really friendly and helpful staff who showed great enthusiasm for their heritage and crafts. Sampled some of the delicious food made by the staff. Cultural show was excellent with elements of humour and crowd participation. Understandably, post covid there is quite a lot of renovation work taking place so not all areas are open but this does not unduly impact the visit as there is still lots to see. Overall, you can easily spend a fulfilling half a day at this cultural village. Definitely worth a visit.

While staying at Damai beach the driver of the shuttle recommend us to come here. It was an awesome experience that I will literally never forget with a little bit of comedy and very educational but someone entertainable (yes that is a new word). I got to see many things and awesome history which I love! I will definitely recommend you to come here and try it.
