Take a peaceful stroll along Kuching Esplanade, a neatly decorated promenade. Lined with colonial era buildings, the esplanade brings the town and the water together in a walkway dotted with many ornamental features. Notice the traditional mosaics along the pathway, representing Malaysian themes through intricate patterns. Vendors set up here throughout the day, so grab some authentic street food as you pass, and head to the main bazaar at the end of the path for a bustling, traditional shopping experience. • This is quite a happening place at night with lots to see and take pictures. I have to deduct a star for the lack of crowd control and the traffic and inconvenient parking.

  • Especially at sunset, stroll any time a cool breeze blows off the river. A simple pleasure of paved walkways, grass, trees and food stalls await you.

  • At weekend night is a lot of people. You can find foods, souvenir here. There is a band playing modern and traditional music here. It's really fun. There is water orchestra playing here at 8.30pm / 9.30pm / 10.30pm. There is also a cool cafe at there. At day you can take a boat ride to the other side of the river will cost you only Rm1. Its normally take a few minutes.
  • Great area for that moonlight walk along the waterfront. Theres lots to see, items to purchase and a variety of foods to enjoy. The crowning jewel has to be that gorgeous bridge. Go park your car and enjoy a nice stroll enjoying the sights, sounds, flavours and aromas of this enjoyable spot.
