Create an itinerary including Bako National Park
Adventure across the changing terrain of Bako National Park to discover a huge diversity of plant and animal life. Take one of the 16 well-marked walking trails through rainforest, over rocky headlands, through carved sea arches, and along stretches of white, sandy beach. Perhaps the most famous inhabitants remain the 150 endangered proboscis monkeys that make their home here, although the long-tailed macaque, Bornean bearded pig, and monitor lizards may well disagree with that. Plan to see Bako National Park and other attractions that appeal to you using our Kuching travel planning app.

  • As a solo traveller it was initially difficult to book as tour companies all insisted on mimimum of 2 persons. However, my hotel managed to sort. The trip involves a 30 min drive to Bako junction...

  • Good hiking and jungle trekking trails. We enjoyed our 3 days 2 nights stay there. We stayed in the room with toilet inside (sorry forget the name). During our stay there, no mosquitoes' bites at all. We were lucky had chances to see the Proboscis monkeys.
  • Wonderful park, lots of wildlife to see, well preserved. Definitely stay over night! The park has decent facilities - rooms are with fan and bathroom, all clean and comfortable. There's WiFi, electricity, and cafeteria provides decent meals. The park is accessible only by boat.
