Clearwater / Wind Show Caves, Gunung Mulu National Park

#3 of 9 in Things to do in Gunung Mulu National Park
Famous for its intricate network of impressive stalactites, stalagmites, and rock corals, Clearwater / Wind Show Caves represents reportedly the longest cave system in the world, featuring a subterranean river. The caves can be reached on foot via a 4 km (2.5 mi) nature trail or as part of a sailing trip down the Melinau River. Touring the caves involves quite a bit of walking on forest trails, over wooden planks, and floating bridges, as well as climbing down a series of rocky steps. Pay attention to the illuminated chamber known as "King's Room." Finish your tour with a refreshing dip at a clear pool near the picnic area, where you can go swarming with bright-green butterflies.
