Feel the atmosphere of a time gone by while you admire the quaint buildings at Armenian Street. Stroll along the well-preserved and restored street named after the Armenian people who settled in the area in 1786. Being crafty traders, they introduced aspects of their lifestyle to the local community and made a lasting impression on the city of Penang. Enjoy the old architecture, street murals, and orthodox temples characteristic of the area. You can get a taste of Armenian culture in the many shops and restaurants, which fit in well with the quaint style of the rest of the street. • Great place to go / start for street art. Don’t get confused, the street art IS NOT only in this street. It’s all around in town and amazing to watch! Just search with google, they have a link to the map which can be transferred to google so you can see all the pins in Maps and just walk on your own around. Be aware that it’s not 100% up to date
  • Funny place to go. Watch out for street art work - “the murals” It is a beautiful place to enjoy the cultural heritage of this beautiful quarter. Indian, Chinese, Malaysian culture created this transformation of colonial remains into a vibrant, colorful quarter. For expatriates it is a lovely reminder of what is fun to visit in Asia. For our visitors from Europe it is a magical place to enjoy.
