To get your share of the adorable during your trip, visit Cherating Turtle Sanctuary. Baby turles inhabit little pools in this sanctuary until they are old enough to be released into the wild. Entry is free and the center provides information on the local turtles and conservation efforts. Adult green turtles also make their home here, and if you wish, you can pay a fee for a chance to release ten baby turtles into the sea. • Sad conditions. Lack of funding due to covid. They need help. Ashame to lose such an important centre to take care of nature. Need fund raising and create more exciting programmes to attract visitors

  • Free to enter and a fairly detailed set of display boards, but it is not really a sanctuary. We spent more time there picking up ten bags of litter outside the place. The staff were grateful for us....  more

  • It's a small educational center on sea turtle not sure where they do the conservation work, there are 4 turtles confined in two small pools which I feel they can do better to house them, they look healthy though. No payment is required but a donation is encouraged. Time spend around 20 to 30mins depending on your pace.
  • A nice little kampung style turtle information center. Suitable for a quick pit stop. You can complete your visit in less than 30 minutes.
