Visit Kek Lok Si Temple, the largest Buddhist complex in Malaysia. Established at its hilltop location in 1891, the temple harmoniously combines architectural influences from across the region. Its main feature remains the impressive seven-story pagoda and its 10,000 alabaster and bronze statues of Buddha. The ample grounds include separate areas of relaxation and contemplation, with pools, ponds, and well-maintained, peaceful gardens. A venerated place of worship, the temple attracts pilgrims from across Southeast Asia and beyond. Great and really beautiful temple. All entrance is free. You only need to pay for parking and if you want to use the cable cars. But everything is also walkable and there is a bus station close. The view to the city is also worth the little hike. The big statue is really big and tall. Which makes it hard to see it fully close as the platform is to small in ratio to the height of the statue. To see all plan around 2 hours. Down besides the first car park is a turtle pond.

Kek Lok Si is a nice and impressive temple that is definitely worth a visit. The temple consists of several layers and is very easy to reach with small elevators (paid). There are men who drive back and forth with electric vans. In the high season I wonder if it is worth visiting the temple, we were there outside the main season and it was already a long wait for the elevators. Once at the top you have a beautiful view of the city and there are ponds with dozens (perhaps hundreds) of turtles to see.
